Karolien van Mensvoort
Dutch designer Karolien van Mensvoort combines handmade and machine-made textiles by working intuitively, creating unplanned layers and ideas. Her creations are not bound by seasons, trends, age, culture, or gender. Educated at the School of the Arts, Artez, in Arnhem and a former faculty member, she has shifted her focus to textiles after 25 years in fashion. She makes experimental tapestries, woolen plaids, and cushions, adding unexpected elements. Alongside textiles, she remains dedicated to creating prints and artworks rooted in her fashion background.
