About the Artist
William Morris
William Morris (24 March 1834 – 3 October 1896) was an artist, designer, poet, craftsman and political writer who had a major influence on the fashions and ideologies of Victorian Britain and the English Arts and Crafts movement. He also had a major influence on building design, but he is better known today for his textile designs, which have been repurposed as wallpaper and wrapping paper.
